Massage Therapist Licensing in Michigan

Most of you know that I am on the Michigan Massage Therapy Board. We are currently developing rules for licensing massage therapists throughout the state. These rules may be effective by the end of this year.

I will keep you apprised of developments, and you can always check the Michigan Board of Massage Therappy website for more information.

Tonic Celebrates Its First Month!

It's been just over one month since Tonic Massage & Myofascial Release opened its doors. By all accounts, the move has been a success and the feedback from clients has been wonderful.

This past month has been a great opportunity for me to work with clients I haven't seen in a while, to reinforce relationships with regular clients and to meet several new clients! I look forward to hearing from many of you with whom I have lost touch in recent months.

I am open to your feedback on my new studio, website and anything else related to the conduct of my new business. I am here for you, so please let me know how I can best serve you.

Thanks to all of you who have supported me in this new endeavor!

Referral Bonuses

Every time a client sends a friend or relative to see me, I am incredibly honored by such an endorsement of my services. To return the favor, I offer a bonus to both the existing client and the new client.

Send a new client to see me and both you and your friend will receive $10 off your first/next appointment!

Bonuses can be accumulated, so if three of your acquaintances come to see me before your next appointment, you will receive $30 off your next session.

Tips for Using the Online Scheduler

If you've used my online scheduler, I hope you have found it easy and convenient. While it's mostly user-friendly, I would like to bring some features to your attention so you can get the most out of it and schedule appointments when you need them.

  1. You can schedule as close as one hour in advance of your appointment time. To make an appointment on short notice, you can get my next available time by using the online scheduler.
  2. If you'd like to see me earlier or later than my regular hours, or you'd like to get in and the scheduler says no appointments are available, give me a call. There may be time available at the beginning or end of the day that the scheduler will not show because the appointment time exceeds the regular hours.
  3. You can reschedule or cancel an appointment online up to 3 hours before the appointment. Your appointment confirmation email has a link that will enable you to cancel the appointment; to reschedule, simply return to the online scheduler and make a new appointment.
  4. Always feel free to call or write! The online scheduler is there for your convenience. If for any reason you prefer to reach me directly, please do.

Take Time for Yourself Today

Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter. I hope you will also take a little time for yourself today. Many of us feel compelled to always be doing something productive and don't allow ourselves any down-time. By taking a time for a hobby, exercise, or meditation, we can recharge, refocus and de-stress. This will help us to face the rest of our day in a better, healthier way. Enjoy your "me" time!
