Your Connection to News at Tonic | August 2010
Birthday Bonuses are Coming!

Starting in September, each month I'll be sending out bonus awards to clients with a birthday in that month. Your bonus will be an extra 15 minutes added to your session that month!

As far as I'm aware, I know each of your birth dates. But if I should fail to send your bonus to you, PLEASE let me know.

Making it through another year is an important milestone — the least I can do is give you a little extra attention to celebrate the event. I'm looking forward to acknowledging your special day!

Tonic Sponsors Races

As a runner, I have been sponsoring and helping out at select races throughout the season. In June, I worked with a colleague to provide free pre- and post-race massages to runners at the Kreger Farm 5K race in Franklin. In July, I was a sponsor of The Classic 8K race at Maybury State Park.

On Sunday September 12th, St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia is holding its 4th Annual 5K Run/Walk for Cancer. I am proud to be a sponsor of this event. If you are looking for a worthy cause to support and want to benefit your health in the process, you can find more information about the race at the hospital's website: I will also have information at my studio. I'll be there on race day — hope to see you there!

Extend Your Session for Only $15

From now through September 15th, you can enjoy an additional
30 minutes of therapy for just $15! This is a savings of $10 on a 90-minute session and $20 on a 120-minute session.

If you typically come in for a 60-minute session, you can try a
90-minute session for only $85. Similarly, if you usually schedule
a 90-minute (or 60-minute) session, you can try 120-minutes for just $110. AND you can enjoy this discount at every session you have through September 15th.

I am offering this special pricing to encourage you to experience the benefits of a longer session. In a 90-minute session, we have time to thoroughly focus on one or two problem areas and still enjoy a full body massage. The longer amount of time on the table also allows you to get deeper into that wonderfully relaxed state. In a 120-minute session, we have time to try techniques we haven't been using — such as myofascial release or craniosacral therapy — so you can find out how those approaches can benefit you.

I hope you will take advantage of this offer to experience how more time on the table equals even more positive results!

While we think of summer as a time for relaxation, many of us find ourselves doing more than usual as we try to fit outdoor activities, vacations and travel into our already busy schedules.  In August, as we see the close of summer approaching, there can be a rush to get in all of the "fun" we had planned to do this season.

If you feel you are slipping into this trap, I encourage you to take a step back, a deep breath, and give yourself a little "time out".  Remember, quality is usually more satisfying than quantity.

Have a tremendous August!
